You're asking if it's possible to build a container using Debian and Samba, and whether the size of the disc affects this. You also want to know if an 8GB Debian container with Samba works for sharing large files.

The disk size will match the same share, so I can increase it if you need more space. Usually I create a separate mount point for data and boot.

I possess this motherboard. Windows 10 functions properly. There’s no reason Server 16 should fail. Just ignore me—I’m a simple person who hasn’t fully read the discussion before posting.

Have you checked your BIOS settings before? The error code AHCI ERROR BIOS keeps appearing each time.

I noticed I needed to boost it as required. The next point is: if I add hard drives later, can Proxmox identify them as a single unit? Like a hard drive grape? It would be reasonable for Samba-based storage.

I bought the board from eBay and it came with a plug-and-play setup. There were no problems starting W10 or adjusting the BIOS settings. I’m curious about the BIOS version you’re using—it could be related to the issue.

What filesystem is being utilized? For systems like ZFS, adding HDDs to the array should be straightforward; however, with an ext4 setup, it becomes less convenient.

I'll look into my BIOS revision, but it should match the newest release. It might seem straightforward, but have you considered resetting the CMOS? I don't recall doing anything on the board that would resolve this issue.
