I'm attempting to manually overclock my CPU, but all the instructions I've found suggest I must turn on XMP memory. It appears disabled, and I can't activate it. This means I can't proceed with overclocking?

Use the free CPU-Z app to check the memory section; if the frequency is 800, the actual rate will be 1600. When it displays 667, navigate to the regular/full BIOS settings and search for XMP in the tweakers page.

Under DRAM it should provide, Auto, Manual or XMP options and clicking on XMP should be the simplest choice.

If what Tradesman1 doesn't suit you, there might be another option on the motherboard, though it needs you to open your case.

Under DRAM it should provide Auto, Manual or XMP options, but clicking XMP only shows the disabled choice. In EZ mode it just indicates disabled, and when I press it again it returns to the same disabled state. I changed the switch on the motherboard labeled "ezXMP" but it still didn<|pad|> to remain disabled.
