ASUS x470 Prime Pro paired with R9 3950x graphics card
Check if the 3950x is compatible with your ASUS x470 Prime Pro. Since you're not focused on CPU overclocking and already have a NZXT 360mm AIO, it should work fine.
There’s no apparent reason against proceeding. Just verify your bios for CPU support or consider an upgrade if needed.
If the VRM temperature sensors are present, keep them in mind. The board should manage it as mentioned earlier.
I spent more than a week contemplating my options, so I upgraded both my motherboard and GPU. I chose the ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII WIFI, but the EVGA FTW3 Ultra+ 2070 Super kept getting stuck on part of the board and wouldn’t fit properly. I submitted a return request for the EVGA and am hoping the ASUS ROG STRIX 2070 will arrive today. I’ll let you know once I have a chance to check.
