I frequently praised this motherboard, it received positive reviews and handled most tasks smoothly, rarely causing problems. Still, I wanted to mention the RealTek Ethernet connection isn’t very reliable. I’d heard it lagged behind Intel’s performance, but I didn’t investigate deeply since my setup wasn’t remote work-focused. I use a home network with a NAS for more than just basic internet—transferring large files back and forth is common. Recently, the RealTek connection has repeatedly failed, forcing me to reset Windows settings or even reboot the whole system. This is problematic when encoding videos, where 60 gigabytes must be moved from storage and the process breaks after only ten minutes. While I understand a 10GB LAN is sufficient, there are still challenges to address. It doesn’t occur every time, but I thought sharing this would help others realize that if you plan beyond simple browsing or downloads, a stronger connection might be worth considering. Had I anticipated this scenario, I’d have compared options more thoroughly and possibly explored higher-end alternatives like Intel’s solutions or even 2.5GB/10GB built-in connections. Still, I wanted to contribute to the broader discussion about why some reviewers compare RealTek unfavorably against Intel. From my side, I’ve never experienced an Ethernet connection completely fail before, though my previous board handled Intel better under less demanding tasks.
