Hello, your Asus TUF B450M-PRO gaming setup includes an R7 3800X, Noctua NH-D15, and Corsair 3000MHz RAM. The motherboard is ASUS ROG Strix B450M PRO, which supports Ryzen 5000 processors. AM4 is available, not AM5 at the moment. I previously used it with an R5 2600X during purchase.

It works. Updating the BIOS resolves the issue. I have a 5000 series with B350, and it should be fine now.

I've owned a B350 Bazooka for about three years now, moving up from 1600 to 3600 and then to 5800X3D. I'm thinking about getting a new board since it doesn't support USBC and PCI Gen 4. My current board isn't meeting those requirements.

I notice a distinction between PCIe 3 and 4. Your board supports two M.2 slots, so you should check compatibility with the SSD model you're considering.

They mentioned PCI4 offers quicker SSDs and better bandwidth for GPUs and other PCI devices. You likely won’t notice this in everyday gaming, but moving large files between SSDs might matter. The upcoming GPUs may require PCI4 for optimal performance, though I’m not sure yet. I’ll find out later this week when they release the new ones.
