Asus Tuf A16 FA617NT resolves overheating problems
Hey everyone, I recently purchased a laptop and encountered a problem with the power settings. The CPU and GPU aren't adjusting their usage as expected. I set the CPU power limit to 35 in Armory Crate, but the combined power still reads 120W. The CPU shows around 70W while the GPU stays near its max 40W. Even after uninstalling Armory Crate and using G-Helper, the same issue persists—CPU around 70W and GPU at a maximum of 40W. FPS fluctuates between about 100 and 60. I'm running Far Cry 4 Ultra with high settings and monitoring power via MSI Afterburner and Riva Tunner. Temperatures are low, but the CPU reaches up to 83°C while the GPU stays around 60°C. I’m not sure what’s causing this, but I really need your help! Thanks in advance.
Offer them some recognition for their effort. Customers tend to be challenging and may have unrealistic expectations. Stay composed and clarify your concerns as clearly as possible. You might be amazed by the outcome. If it doesn’t go well, try again or return later—someone might help resolve the problem.
You might consider giving them some recognition because there are times when no support feels helpful. People can be tough to satisfy and sometimes make unreasonable requests. You know you’re the one trying to get a better experience, right? What’s your goal here?
I've experienced both perspectives on CS and it's interesting, isn't it? The CS agents generally aim to satisfy customers as much as possible. They often work with limited resources and handle a high volume of calls. This role is quite challenging. I recognize you're a customer, and I'm sure you're familiar with the abilities of CS agents unless you know otherwise. However, I've noticed many customers requesting things that aren't realistic—like having their entire day's work restored after a system reboot or making money transfers appear when they weren't intended to happen due to technical issues. If you ever get the opportunity to speak with some CS agents, you'll likely hear similar stories. Wishing you the best!
