I'm setting up another server to operate around the clock with a 13600k processor, 16 GB of 5600mhz RAM, and 24 TB of storage. I'm using Quicksync for my setup and Plex for media playback. I only require about 4 to 6 streams at any given time, with an average close to 2. There seems to be little interest in this board—Z790-H isn't being discussed much, and none of the reviewers mention it in their reviews.

It wasn’t clear that this board was available. Honestly, I wouldn’t suggest it either—it seems to offer a similar feature list to the Z790 Aorus Elite AX but at a lower price, around $50 less. It appears to be the most affordable option for ASUS’s 8-layer memory design, which works well when you’re doing manual RAM overclocking. My thought is it probably didn’t get much attention because it might be a new release. In the US market, it hasn’t been in stock long, and ASUS seems to prefer other models like the TUF or Z790-A Prime for higher profitability. It doesn’t necessarily mean it’s bad, but it feels out of place compared to what you’d expect from ASUS. Only really appealing if you’re looking to push RAM overclocking on a budget.

I placed my order on Amazon and chose the TUF and Prime variants. I recall when ASUS introduced the very first TUF boards—they claimed these would endure continuous use and were crafted with superior components, thoroughly tested and reliable. Nowadays, most options are just mid to low-end models. This device offers better quality than the TUF line.

Installed successfully. I really like this board. My Gigabyte Z690 1TB M.2 drive came with a BIOS setup that I didn’t like, and it feels less reliable compared to Gigabyte’s options.
