Can the Asus striX GPU operate without a fan using an overclock, and which cooling solution performs better between striX and WindForce?

there are some gpus that allow switching to fanless mode, either with or without overclocking. these features are separate and not linked. i tend to favor asus products over gigabyte. i've experienced more success with asus items.

Any GPU with the option can switch to fanless mode, either with or without overclocking. These two settings are separate. I personally favor Asus over Gigabyte. I've experienced better results with Asus products.

Fanless mode is useful when the GPU isn't doing much work—like when you start a game and the fans adjust based on the load.
