Hello, I bought an ASUS ROG Crosshair Hero VII (Wi-Fi) x470 motherboard a few years ago after my previous one failed. It came from a clearance sale at Micro Center and took me nearly a year to figure out the audio problem—my usual Bluetooth speakers didn’t work. Now I have speakers for my turntable, but I’m trying to connect my PC and found that the device manager doesn’t recognize anything, including Realtek audio. This seems unusual. Could I fix it myself or should I take it to a local repair shop?

Ensure the onboard audio is activated in the BIOS. If it remains inactive, replace it with a decent PCI-E sound card, turn off the built-in unit, and connect the new card to an available port. This option provides satisfactory sound without excessive cost.
