Asus Rog Strix X570-E lacks a post and displays Q-Code 04.
Hello everyone. I encountered some issues recently with my system. It functioned perfectly for a year, but last month it stopped booting. The motherboard displays Q-Code 04. According to the manual, it should be initializing the PCH before loading microcode. Have any of you heard of this step? I attempted several fixes: swapped RAM to an older model, changed the power supply, removed the cooler and CPU, and reassembled everything. The new PSU works on other systems. My specifications are: motherboard model Asus Rog Strix X570-E, CPU AMD Ryzen 9 5950X, cooler be quiet!, GPU Dark Rock TF, PSU Corsair RM1000X, RAM Corsair 2 x 16GB Vengeance LPX DDR4-3600. I'm hoping someone can clarify this. Thanks, Mathias.
Thank you for your message. The issue isn't clear from your words—could you provide more details about the symptoms or error messages you're seeing? That way I can better assist you.
Typically includes the mounting accessories. A small compact device featuring a four-pin connector with black and red wires. Often available on eBay for around a few dollars.
Hello! The speaker is working properly now—no sounds during boot. The Q-code finishes with 04. Anyone have suggestions to fix this issue? Looking forward to your advice, Mathias.
Consider trying to update the BIOS, otherwise it might require a warranty.
What kind of screen are you employing? Occasionally the Asus MOBO fails to detect a DisplayPort connector and halts during startup, displaying this message with an empty screen. You might attempt replacing your DisplayPort adapter with HDMI in the graphics card to test functionality. I saw this happen when I changed the MOBO for the first time and booted up—definitely resolved the issue and brought it to the BIOS display.
