That's right. Upgrade to version 1222 or 1224. Disregard 1410 as it's in beta and might not be fully stable. I personally set it up with an ASUS TUF B650 PLUS WIFI.

Hi there, I won’t be using the ASUS TUF personally since I don’t prefer its look, but they offer solid performance at a good price.

That's reasonable! I saved for a 37% discount and the ROG board hadn't been announced yet (early adopter of the 7000 series here). I didn’t focus on looks; performance and value are what count. I mostly check the monitor 99.99% of the time. The ASUS BIOS flashback is really straightforward to use, that’s a plus.

I’m moving directly from my initial setup to this new one. It’s 1800x, 1060, and I haven’t tried any other manufacturers before. This time I’m experimenting with several different brands.

Perfect! No complications with your ASUS TUF B650, tested it in seven projects already. I’m confident the ROG will perform similarly, so everything should be fine. With just a BIOS update, you’re all set! That 7800X3D is definitely a powerhouse machine!
