Asus ROG STRIX B550-A emits vibrant red illumination
Hey there, new to this site. I was really stressed trying to get my PC up after six hours. After about ten years, I decided it was time to upgrade. My current setup includes: Asus ROG STRIX B550-A gaming with 2x8GB Corsair 3600 DDR4 Ryzen 5600X, Corsair H100i Platinum SE AIO cooler, Samsung 980 Pro 1TB M.2 Gen 4 KFA2 GTX 1070 (from my old PC until I got a 3080), Corsair RM850x PSU, and an SSD running Windows 10 (also from my old PC). I connected all power cables—24ATX and 8-pin EATX over the CPU—and hooked up the GPU via PCIe cables. The AIO was installed on the CPU fan, a USB header, and all fans were linked to their respective cables as per the manual. Under the 4-pin EATX CPU connector, a bright red LED stayed lit continuously. I managed to update my BIOS using the Flashback file on a USB drive, but still couldn’t get it working. I’m stuck and can’t post yet. However, all RGB fans are lighting up and the pump is running too. The four control LEDs on the right side of the motherboard stayed on. I don’t know what to try next, so I’m reaching out for advice. Thanks!
Check your manual, sounds like CPU POST error. Verify your CPU and power cables on BOTH ends are properly seated, and that your cables are going to the slots marked "CPU" on the PSU. Also make sure your DIMMs are in the correct locations, they look like they are, but I can't say for sure. If that all fails a CMOS clear won't hurt.
Have you tried a solution for this? My setup is very similar yours, just with minor variations: CPU: Ryzen 5 5600X Cooler: Vetroo V5 White MB: ASUS ROG Strix B-550-A Gaming Memory: CORSAIR - Vengeance RGB PRO 32GB (2PK 16GB) 3.2GHz PC4-25600 DDR4 GPU: Gigabyte Vision RTX 3080 OC PSU: Corsair RM850 SSD: Samsung 980 Pro 2TB Case: Corsair Carbide 275R White Case Fans: 3 Corsair LL120's (2 in front 1 in back) I also faced the same issue with the red LED, but it won’t power on and there’s no electricity.
