The video prompted reflection on potential bottlenecks in my current setup. It suggested evaluating whether my router limits performance and considering a separate pfSense box with an access point for better results.

We don’t have the full picture—your GT-AX11000 must meet the wireless and bandwidth needs of your clients. What else are you seeking in a pfSense configuration?

I recently switched to a PFSense/AP configuration. My reasoning included: - It increased my network speed to 2.5 GbE (your router already supports multiple high-speed ports). - Enhanced security features like VLANs, which needed a managed switch. - Flexibility for future upgrades; if wireless evolves I can simply replace APs. - Affordability compared to new routers. I was planning to upgrade my router to handle both WAN and LAN with multi-gig capabilities. The price difference between a PFSense setup and a router was similar, making it a straightforward decision. Since you already have a strong router, changing to PFSense would be more challenging.
