Quick question, folks... You're setting up a m.2 NVMe drive on an Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Hero with a pad attached to the cover. Should you take off the cover and remove the pad? It looks like it might be tricky if it's stuck. Also, seems like it might only be for a single use if you do this. Any advice from others who've done this?

those thermal pads are only slightly sticky to achieve the necessary contact and are generally reusable.
