I noticed the specs listed, and the real name showed up when managing the account from the M$ site. It seems the laptop is available for download using that method. You might want to try installing it there first before considering upgrades or downgrades.

Consider reinstalling Windows via a USB drive, as the license should remain on the laptop.

I'm considering this, but I've learned that the latest Intel CPUs from the 6th generation only supported older operating systems such as Windows 7. It's unclear whether the Celeron N3060 fits this limitation. If it does, that could lead to compatibility problems.

You might attempt to install a USB drive using Windows 10 (excluding the older version). If you simply get the ISO file from the internet, you should be able to restore Windows to Windows 10 and get back your laptop.

Windows 10 S can be upgraded to Windows 10 Pro. If you wish to skip Windows 10, you can purchase any version of Windows you prefer. However, you may encounter driver problems or limitations in using all hardware features and software compatibility from developers who have moved on. For instance, Chrome and Firefox won't function with Windows XP. If the desired operating system isn't included in the supported list from the original manufacturer, no one here can guarantee 100% compatibility, particularly on laptops that rely on specialized software for various tasks. You might find someone who has tried it and succeeded, but complete compatibility remains uncertain.
