Well yes that was my point, if it's Thunderbolt it's fine, but if it's standard DP over USB-C it's not...

You didn’t have to adjust any BIOS settings for this to function. It’s possible the issue lies elsewhere, like with the GPU driver or passthrough configuration, rather than a BIOS change.
