Hey there, I faced a bit of trouble when trying to find the perfect balance for overclocking my Ryzen 5 3400G on this motherboard. Should I go ahead and overclock or skip it? My setup includes a stock cooler, an Asus Prime B450m-a with Corsair Vengeance 3000MHz RAM, and an 8GB M.2 SSD.

I really wouldn't because of that stock cooler.

Using the cooler won't take you very far. It's better to focus on upgrading the RAM for improved CPU and graphics performance.

I tested the 3400g at 4.0ghz using all cores and the built-in cooler, and it stays cooler than an Artic Freezer 34 Duo.

I'm testing this setup with 220°C OC to 4GHz and passive air cooling. The original cooler works fine up to around 3.8–4.0GHz, clearly minimizing any extra heat from the v-core.

Thanks for the responses, it seems buying a cooler might be a good idea now.
