I shared my experience on a Steam forum hoping for assistance. After careful consideration, I noticed some unusual changes in the resolution settings between the Steam Deck and the Anker 7-in-1 hub HDMI output and my monitor. When opening a game, the connection vanishes—appearing only in the Steam library but disappearing when launching. This issue isn’t present with other monitors or TVs, though it works on some larger screens. I’m seeking guidance on how to resolve this. The situation is clear: rotating the Asus PG278 in portrait mode on my PC set it up as an extension monitor at 1440x2560, and I managed to play Zen Pinball FX3 smoothly. I obtained a cabinet code from Zen to enable portrait mode on the Steam Deck. I also tried using a Bluetooth keyboard and an 8bitDO SN30pro+ controller, positioning the deck vertically for hands-free play. However, when connecting to a TV, the image flipped sideways, suggesting a delay from the Anker hub or the TV’s processing. I explored switching to a powered HDMI hub for testing, which resolved the problem on a wall-mounted TV. The main challenge seemed to be the signal handling between the hub, monitor, and game. I’m hoping someone can help clarify these settings or point out a setting that might be causing the issue.
