For a long time, my computer fan would loudly scream during video editing or when I started recording with OBS. Only recently did I notice my CPU was overheating constantly. Temperatures reached 80°C+ under load and climbed to 100°C+ during stress tests (40°C at minimum). I’m using a tool called core-temp to monitor the heat. Recently, I found a discussion on the Asus ROG Forum and adjusted three BIOS settings. Now my CPU fans are quieter—around 70°C at full load and 35°C at minimum. I’m curious if this fix resolved the overheating or if I accidentally changed something. I didn’t overclock my CPU, and my current readings match what the forum suggested. The changes seem to have helped stabilize things.
Sadly, motherboards follow their own priorities, yet they have limitations. If your temperatures are stable, that’s a positive sign.
