You can try using both high and low density RAM together on your ASUS Tuf book FX506li-b15n5. Some users have reported success with this setup, especially if you're upgrading from a laptop that came with only one type. Just ensure your motherboard supports dual-channel operation and that the RAM sticks are compatible with your system.

Linus doesn't engage with advice requests from random forum users or frequent browsing. Most regular members would likely be glad to assist if you provide more details. Your emphasis on "high density" versus "low density" seems a bit unclear. It appears the laptop is typically sold with 8GB of RAM by default. What retailer did you purchase it from?

I received the PNY Low Density Ram 2666mhz 8gigs, but it doesn’t work properly on my laptop during games.

I interpret "density" as the amount of data or processing power packed into a given space. High density RAM means more bits stored per unit volume, while low density implies less storage in the same size.

High density contains 16 components, while low density holds 8.

You mentioned conflicting previous posts, but your reasoning about the new memory density affecting the crash remains unclear. Could you elaborate on what you mean by "the wrong density"?

I'm not sure what's causing the issue with the two different rams. It seems newer computers can handle both high and low density settings, but it doesn't work on my ASUS laptop, leaving me confused.

You mentioned the new RAM at Best Buy varies in density depending on the situation. You didn't specify how you confirmed the low-density RAM came with the laptop, though I understand you verified it somehow. Your reasoning about a "mismatched" density issue seems to stem from that verification process. Did you bring the faulty RAM back to Best Buy and attempt a replacement or test?
