Hello everyone! I'm assembling my first PC and checking my parts list on PC Part Picker. I received a warning about the Lian Li O11D XL-W ATX Full Tower Case—its front panel has a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type A port, but my Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Hero ATX AM4 motherboard doesn’t support that connection. The case’s USB 3.2 Gen 1 port won’t work. I know the back of the board has many ports, but it would be helpful to have a way to connect something to the front if needed. Anyone who has built a system with this case and motherboard has faced this problem? How do you make the front panel functional?

The simplest option is to install a USB 3.0 add-in PCIe card. Some USB 3.0 add-ins include an additional USB 3.0 header. See examples: https://www.amazon.com/FebSmart-Superspe...B07WCQ64RN, https://www.amazon.com/Sedna-Express-Ada...00DVMCV1K/, https://www.amazon.com/Docooler-Expansio...B07VFN4ZQ9, https://www.amazon.com/SIIG-3-Port-PCIe-...B00YT6QNLG

I’d suggest going with the option that best fits your needs, since all choices are viable. Let me know if you’d like more details!

I haven't tried any of those PCIe cards, so I couldn't provide an answer. Apologies.
