ASUS GEFORCE RTX 5060
ASUS GEFORCE RTX 5060
I bought this card and it functions properly, but it doesn’t appear to support more than one monitor. There seems to be an issue with the BIOS settings—Windows settings indicate it can’t detect the other monitor. I’ve tested both HDMI and DisplayPort ports, as well as all combinations of the three display ports, but it still won’t drive another monitor. I thought having three ports would allow multiple displays, so am I mistaken or is this just the setup? It’s too late to return it for replacement.
Both are Dell monitors, I don't recall the precise model numbers. One is a bit older, which I've been using for photography finishing (Lightroom and Photoshop), while the other is a U3782 (probably, though maybe not entirely accurate). Both are functioning well, but I can't use both. It might be better to get another GPU to run the other monitor, rather than having to switch between them. The newest one is six months old, while the older one is several years old but still works perfectly.
I discovered I needed to download the NVidia drivers for the card and set up one monitor via HDMI while using another on Display Port. Everything is now working properly. It would have been helpful if the instructions had mentioned this upfront. I tried different approaches and found a solution.
I followed the instructions and downloaded the driver from the ASUS website. The initial version didn't function properly. After realizing the card used Nvidia chips, I accessed the Nvidia driver download section, entered the identifier, and found compatible drivers. Installation succeeded, and they worked! I adjusted the port allocation, setting one monitor for HDMI and another for DisplayPort, which resolved the issues. Everything is now functioning perfectly.
Some of the earlier problems included the mouse cursor not moving between screens, losing the task bar, and difficulty transferring items between displays. This information can help others facing similar challenges.
