I had a problem with the Asus G512Li laptop screen not working properly a few months ago. I thought the backlight was off, even though I could still see a faint glow. After getting a replacement screen that didn’t help, I tried the 40-pin eDP cable. Could a faulty cable cause the backlight to fail? I’m still seeing the image, but it’s very dim or unclear. Is there anything I can do with my motherboard to fix this?
