Updating my profile info is causing the flash to freeze every time I confirm. My motherboard is a Rog-Strix B450-I mini itx.

You've encountered the same problem with a customer's ASUS board. It seems you're pushing too far in one update. Consider updating to an older version first, then to the latest. If it's still slow, try making smaller version changes.

Yes, just unzip the file and place it on the USB drive.

Open the ZIP file and place its contents into the flash drive’s root folder. Confirm the drive is formatted as FAT32, since I previously reformatted it to NTFS. I needed to test multiple versions—like IE 1xxx, 2xxx, etc.—until one worked. I also had to go back quite far on the hardware I was using.

Download the latest version 1003, which is newer than what you received, and it still causes freezing. What do you mean by the drive's root? When I extracted the BIOS file, it produced another file that I simply moved onto my USB drive.

From the root of the drive, I’m talking about it directly—not inside any folders. It’s still freezing? That’s odd. I understand it does freeze briefly after choosing a file, but mine became unresponsive after just a couple seconds. Perhaps try 0901... Here’s the file: https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/So...S-0901.zip My brother has the same board and I’m aware their updates can be applied, especially since he’s on the newest version now.

My profile on 0901. I'll attempt to reinstall it.

Consider alternative USB connections or another flash drive for testing.

Sure, I'm ready. What would you like me to do?
