Hi Everyone. I’m trying to resolve an issue with my Crosshair VIII Dark Hero motherboard running 4201 and paired with a 5900X. I’ve used four different memory kits, but each one causes the system to freeze after about an hour. It doesn’t matter if the board has D.O.C.P. enabled or not. Two of the kits are available on the QVL yet still cause the same problem. When the system freezes, the yellow DRAM debug light stays on, and I have to force shut down the power supply to restart my PC. The four RAM kits I’ve tried include G.Skill F4-4000C18D-32GTRS, three Corsair models (CMT64GX4M4Z3600C16, CMT32GX4M2Z3600C14, and CMT32GX4M4K3600C16), with an average of 5 to 15 occurrences daily. I’ve also switched to a completely new CPU and even returned my original Dark Hero board, but the issue persists. If anyone can assist in stabilizing my system, I’d really appreciate it.
Do you still possess this unit? Yes, it’s available. When installing, erase the CMOS. Use slots A2 and B2; when entering BIOS, definitely turn on DOCP/XMP. However, adjust the primary clock speeds manually to 16-16-16-16-36. Ensure the command rate is also set to 2T. Inspect the memory V-dimming and configure it at 1.4000v. Manually set the CPU SOC voltage to 1.08v. Perform an F10 restart and let me know if it boots. Allow some time for memory training. If it doesn’t work after three attempts, it should revert to default.
The Asus QVL indicates compatibility between CMT32GX4M4K3600C16 and CMT64GX4M4Z3600C16 in certain versions.
