ASUS B650E-I fails to start properly with memory issues unless I restart my power supply unit.
Hello everyone, I just created an account for this. I'm facing a rather odd problem with my PC after installing a second SSD at the back of the board. When I plug it in and power it on fresh, everything works perfectly. But if I leave it plugged in for a while and then turn it back on, the PC won't boot and the yellow DRAM light appears. Also, both my keyboard and mouse don't light up until I interact with them by clicking or pressing keys. I've managed to get around this by just switching off the PSU switch and turning it back on, though it's a bit inconvenient. I've tried a few solutions: updated BIOS, reseated GPU and SSD. It seems like the issue isn't related to DRAM errors, since the PC boots normally and my software runs without problems. It might be something physical on the board. Anyone else have encountered this? Let me know if you did and what you did to fix it. Thank you!
Turn off Memory Context Restore, as this leads to problems when it isn't working properly. It seems rare for people to face issues with it in recent BIOS versions, though it might happen occasionally. Fast Boot also has similar risks.
Thanks for your quick response. I turned both off, but I’ll need to follow up tomorrow with the outcome since it seems to fail completely at night. Usually I handle these issues well, but I couldn’t find any guidance on those specific settings. Appreciate the help!
The problem remains unresolved. The fans still display a persistent rainbow during startup.
