Your CPU stabilizes at a specific speed and voltage when using Auto mode under Prime95 stress. On both systems, it settles at the values shown in the performance data. Have you ever taken those measurements?

I didn't log them all. Asus WMI shows 1.5v when idle and about 1.4v during loading on the B450-F. My Crosshair VI Hero works well, staying near 1.38v under load and 1.45v idle. I'm not sure much about frequency adjustments. Setting a high voltage like 1.45v with default BIOS power settings leads to similar lockups and restarts. As I mentioned before, the main issue seems to be insufficient power in certain situations. I can use it all day—even auto browsing or gaming. mprime usually triggers a crash or restart around the 2nd or 3rd test, unless I tweak the BIOS power settings. Setting voltage to extreme values helps, but I feel more at ease with a stable setting. Compiling the kernel causes a restart at auto power, but everything works fine when set to extreme and CPU stays at 1.32v @ 4.1.

I didn’t really consider it before, but I looked for a bios update and saw one from December. Voltages seem lower now, and I’m doing a prime test without any problems. Maybe I should have started then.

Confirmed the bios update resolved every problem. Performance improved significantly with stable operation at 4.1 and 1.32v. No more system freezes in prime95 tests.
