I searched for information but didn’t find a clear match. From what I saw, many ads mention Asus and Gigabyte boards don’t work with E5 V4 ES Xeons. It seems similar to the X79 case where certain early models lacked the right VRM controller for V12.5. It might be a BIOS microcode lock or voltage regulation issue.
