Hello, here is my PC configuration as described.
Processor: I5-6600k
Cooler Master Hyper 212x
Gaming GPU: Cooler Master Hyper 212X
Asus Z170 Pro Gaming
G-Skill Ripjaws 8 GB
Asus Strix R9 390 DCU-III
Cooler Master B600v v2
Cooler Master HAF 912
Storage: Seagate 1 TB
This is my first build, and I was recommended to use the K version of the CPU. Usually I only use it for gaming. The CPU would normally reach 3.8GHz on startup, but after running the AI Suite 3 optimization, it peaks at 4.6GHz at 1.328 vcore. My question is whether this automatic overclock is acceptable or if I should adjust it via BIOS? My CPU temperature would be around 55°C during idle and 70°C during gaming. So is the automatic OC from AI Suite 3 suitable for my setup?

I didn't expect the Z170 Pro Gaming to have 5 way optimisation, nice.
From my experience, it provides a solid starting point; you might be able to undervolt slightly and still maintain around 4.6GHz overclock, or push it up to 4.7GHz with the same voltage.
However, if you simply want to force an unlocked Skylake chip to run at full speed without any adjustments, nothing compares to ASUS' 4 and 5 way optimisation.

4.6 @ 1.328 vcore works, but you could likely succeed with a lower voltage. Typically, the automatic overclock optimization prioritizes stability by providing higher voltage. Also, consider using AIDA64 or another stability testing tool to verify its reliability.

As discussed, my main goal for building this PC is gaming, and the current configuration works well for that. Concerning the Vcore, it is automatically adjusted by the 5WO unit, so should I lower the voltage or leave it unchanged?
