CSM refers to older BIOS settings. Upgrading to Windows 11 isn't possible. The ability to boot now indicates your installer uses MBR rather than GPT mode. You can employ Rufus and an .iso file to force GPT usage. CSM/MBR supports Windows 10, though it offers reduced security. I’d prefer GPT/UEFI for better long-term stability.
The partition table choice between MBR and GPT is set when the USB installer is generated. Typically, on a system with an MBR or older BIOS setup, you receive a MBR-based USB installer. When using a GPT or UEFI system, the installer comes with a GPT/UEFI format. The BIOS displaying UEFI might be misleading; I’d guess the USB installer is actually in MBR mode.
