Do you possess an old Windows folder on the C: disk? If yes, using this might eliminate the boot feature. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windo...old-folder

Check the System Configuration in msconfig (Start > type: msconfig), on the Boot tab—there should be an option to delete the other OS. Regarding upgrading to Windows 8.1, let me know!
