I’d consider rebuilding the USB setup. An alternative could involve enabling secure boot via BIOS. We had to do this on our work laptops briefly since our deployment was set up in a compact form.

I didn’t realize the USB I’m using comes from the Windows box, so I thought it might be different. I’ve already tried it before when I purchased my first PC and it worked fine the first time.
