We need assistance with connecting our internet to neighbors using a mesh router system. Each home should have its own router, and the second house will link via Cat 6 backhaul to share the connection. Can we use a 4/5 port switch to power both mesh routers? We already have more wired setups than the single ports available on our satellite equipment. Thanks ahead!

You can connect a switch to the Ethernet ports from mesh nodes. It’s worth noting that using one home internet connection across multiple properties is typically prohibited by their policies, even though they can’t always identify it. Be aware you’ll be responsible for any suspicious online behavior they engage in, including potential copyright lawsuits, and there’s no legal escape from facing consequences for those actions.
