I’m trying to figure out how to install mac on a laptop. I understand the rules on this forum, but before I share my issue, I’d like to ask here instead. Where else can I get help with this? I’m not sure if there’s another place for this question.

Regarding your point about hardware, it’s true that most components are made by other companies. The Mac is technically an Apple product, but the parts come from various manufacturers. So why is it labeled as “apples”? Because Apple paid for it. When I bought the whole system, the included hardware became mine.

If I download software from my own Mac and install it on another machine, that should be fine, right? But some forums say it’s not allowed because it involves pirated or unauthorized content. I don’t want to get into discussions about avoiding legitimate monitoring software. My concern is more about the legality of using non-Apple hardware for macOS.

In short, software is free for me since I own a Mac, but if installing macOS on non-Apple devices is prohibited, then technically my setup might be against the rules.
