I received this as a gift on December 24th. When I opened it, the left joystick became stuck when I moved it sideways. I attempted various fixes—rotating while clicking, using compressed air, applying alcohol, and adjusting sensitivity with a small key. Once the stick was fully positioned to the right, it functioned normally and I could see dust particles. I’m struggling because the store is far away, and the Microsoft warranty won’t let me add my address. Anyone experienced with this issue?

It isn't too tough to take apart this device. Just pop it open and spray compressed air to remove any debris from the joystick.

I'll attempt that, but do you believe an electronic cleaner could be beneficial?

Yes, they are essentially isopropyl alcohol dissolved in a spray form.

It might be due to larger particles inside the joystick's potentiometer. I’d suggest starting with air, then using a small amount of circuit cleaner if needed.

It contains isopropyl alcohol, naphtha, various solvents, and hydrofluorocarbons. It has a somewhat greasy texture.

Seems like you resolved the issue by utilizing the controller.
