You can reinstall Windows using your Microsoft account during the sign-in process, but it won’t automatically activate the installation unless you follow the prompts correctly.

Certainly, simply log in and it will guide you through the setup during the new installation when you need to reactivate it.

It should function properly, though I can't confirm if it worked for you. Logging into your MS account showed the device was found on the web, but not on Windows.

This no longer works with Windows 10. It also had issues in earlier versions of Windows.

Refers to the original equipment manufacturer. Restored systems such as Dell employ these kinds of licenses. These are also available for purchase from retailers like Amazon. Retail settings permit you to modify hardware parts freely. OEM is intended for single use and typically tied to the motherboard. I will only state what is permitted by law.
