The problem might be with the old television. It could be due to a defective HDMI port. Have you connected a fresh HDMI cable?
I also switched to another cable and port, but nothing changed.
I might have attempted that, though it was noted that sound performed perfectly on the Linux live CD. This is why I shifted my focus toward Windows. Regardless, I’ll include this in my list of experiments to try.
