Assistance for drivers available.
I’m not sure about the best place to share this, but here it is. In a few weeks I’ll set up my new gaming/workstation and wanted to figure out which drivers to install. I checked the website for my motherboard (https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/Z37...iver-audio) and found many options—around 20 drivers. Should I download all of them or just a few I might need? Do I need to save them to a USB stick before installing, or is there another way? For other devices like graphics cards and the CPU, the list should be shorter. Thanks!
Visit the motherboard, cpu, and gpu websites, save the drivers, and let Windows manage the rest.
Windows usually comes with standard PnP drivers. On Windows 10 most drivers should install themselves automatically. If something is missing or you're not confident in Windows, it's time to handle it manually. Drivers for peripherals like keyboards and mice tend to be more reliable from the original makers. When choosing which updates to apply, look at the release date or version number and select the newest one. Gigabyte offers its own tool for updating drivers—just follow the instructions carefully. It's not overly complicated. The person who posted already mentioned the MB site but was puzzled by Gigabyte's multiple driver versions. Processors don't require drivers, while motherboard chipset drivers manage that.
There are distinct options each with the most recent release. You'll find audio versions in two formats, three chipset variants, three for LAN, and some RAID solutions (not essential unless you use RAID). The iGPU driver comes in three versions as well. Multiple updates are available if the newest isn't suitable. Simply uninstall and reinstall an older version to resolve problems. Installer files are very efficient and will notify you if your latest driver is already installed.
Ah okay cheers, man. Oh and also would I DL drivers to a USB or would the ethernet internet drivers already be there?
Are you confident about that? Did you actually set up the Intel graphics?
