I own an MSI GTX 1050 with 2GB of RAM, and while I don’t typically overclock, I’m looking for ways to enhance its performance.

Nvidia GPUs include a GPU Boost feature that increases the clock speed when needed. Also, overclocking the GPU usually only gives a small improvement—typically 1-3 frames per second at best, or not at all unless paired with a high-end GPU and liquid cooling. 😄
I attempted to overclock my 1050ti, where the boost clock stays around 1734. I manually increased it to about 1911, but gaming became much more unstable (sometimes freezing). Even though 1911 is stable, the clock would jump between 1911 and 1924, causing interruptions.
I tried using the standard boost clock of 1734, which actually improved performance (more stable).

MSI offers a tool named MSI Afterburner which enables users to boost regular clock and memory rates, along with modifying fan velocity.

Nvidia GPUs include a GPU Boost feature that increases clock speed when needed. Also, overclocking usually only gives a small improvement—often 1-3 fps at best, or not at all unless paired with a high-end GPU and liquid cooling. 😄
I attempted to overclock my 1050ti, but the boost clock stays around 1734, pushing it manually up to 1911. The effect on gaming was unstable—sometimes the clock overlapped to 1924, causing freezes that were quite bothersome.
Switching to the standard boost clock (1734) seemed better; performance was more stable and cooler.
If you still want to overclock, there are many programs available that support most GPUs, such as EVGA PrecisionX and MSI Afterburner (Afterburner is the most popular).
If nothing changes after trying these methods, it’s likely your GPU has reached its maximum capacity.
