I recently received a new AIO and after installation, I’m not getting any response from my PC when I press the power button or jump the motherboard pins. I’ve tried everything possible—checked the power supply, tested the GPU, verified all connections are secure, etc. I also noticed a small wireless dongle in the rear IO lights up when it receives power and again when the power is on and connected. This makes me think something went wrong with the CPU during cooler installation. I’m feeling really worried and would appreciate any advice you might have.

Adjusting the CPU didn't resolve the issue either.

Unlocking a contemporary CPU is nearly unattainable, as it remains shielded by its heat spreader. The die isn't visible as it was decades ago. Likely problem is minor misalignment causing pins to bend. Take off the cooler and inspect both the CPU and socket for any harm. Pin placement varies depending on the specific processor model.

it's a ryzen 7 9700x. the pins on the mobo look fine, but the bottom left corner of both the cpu and the socket look a little strange like discolored

Yes, you can share an image. It might be oxidation, corrosion, a spill, or thermal paste. Make sure all other connections—power cables, RAM, etc.—are securely attached.

I resolved it by cleaning the back of the CPU with rubbing alcohol and a soft-bristled brush; it seemed thermal paste had burned onto the back. Now everything is working properly.
