I've been attempting to boost my CPU's performance in the BIOS but haven't achieved any results. (I'm using an FX 8350 with a Gigabyte 990XA-UD3 Rev 3.1). Now I can't adjust the voltage myself—I have to change it in small increments of 0.025V (the standard is 1.320V). The only changes I've made from the default are turning off APM and enabling HPC. Raising the clock speed usually triggers a boot failure message, but I managed to reach 4.2ghz with +0.025V once before encountering errors after further adjustments. Anyone have advice on how to properly overclock my CPU using BIOS?
