you just received an asus strix 970 and it crashes after about a minute of playing battlefield 4 or rainbow 6 siege. what could be happening with your pc? you have a 500watt power supply, 8 gigs of hyper ram, an asus m5a78l-musb3 motherboard, and an amd fx6300 6 core 3.5ghz am3+. you tried unplugging your dvd-rom drive to save power but it still crashes. please help me understand what's going on!

It's a pretty poor build, likely with minimal performance. Probably won't even have GPU power connectors. How did you manage to connect it?

It's a pretty poor build, likely less than ideal. Probably not worth much. Need it replaced right away. No GPU power connectors included—how did you even connect it?

yes, you can add a second psu and assign it solely to your graphics card.

Take the card out right away. It's great it just shut down instead of breaking the whole PC. Get a good PSU. Check the tier list above and pick a solid 500-600W model with the right connector for your GPU.
