Assist me, I see your PC is freezing during Windows 11 installation. Let's troubleshoot together.
I’m working with a motherboard from AsRock B550 Phantom Gaming, a Ryzen 5 5500 CPU, and an Radeon RX 6500 XT GPU. I recently copied files from a USB drive purchased from a reputable source. It worked fine for a couple of years before freezing during the next step. I’m stuck and need assistance!
I attempted with Windows 10, but I'm unsure about the process for Windows 11.
Get the latest Windows 11 ISO file to stay up-to-date. Your old installer is no longer useful. You don’t need to purchase another one since the ISO is free. The activation code is stored in the BIOS. Also, check that the SSD or HDD you’re using is functioning properly. Take it out and connect it to a working machine with a USB adapter. On your computer, install DiskGenius or Crystal Disk Info as per my instructions. Check the SMART data; if it’s not in good condition, replace the drive. If everything checks out, reinstall on the problematic machine. On the other machine, download Rufus. Insert the USB drive you bought or a blank one with at least 8GB space. In Rufus, select “Boot Selection,” choose Download, and pick Windows 11 if your system meets the requirements. Click Continue after it starts downloading. Once complete, launch Rufus, press F12 when the MSI window appears. Choose your USB drive, then follow the installer prompts. Set your language, select Install Now, and skip Custom Install. When asked where to install Windows, clear all partitions until you have an unallocated space, then proceed. If you prefer a local account instead of Microsoft, avoid Wi-Fi or use a wired connection. If prompted, enter a fake email to receive a link that blocks internet access, then enter your username and password. After that, connect to the internet to apply updates during installation. The process is similar for Windows 10.
