I tried black flag (got it in a bundle) for about an hour on my i7 and gtx 980. it looked like crap with settings to keep it at 60fps and with everything maxed it was choppier than an 8 year old's piano recital. I adore Ubisoft's far cry 4 though, runs great and looks amazing
The problem lies in the fact that numerous Ubisoft developers have turned into strict corporate figures, showing little interest in improving the game. (However, an i5 can assist)

not exactly 60 but around 50 on high settings, not ultra but close enough. I've fine-tuned everything for higher performance. I'm not pushing max resolution to 2k at 1080p. It's settled around 16xx x 1080P. Experimenting with certain shaders and textures can improve both appearance and frame rate.
Are developers involved in deciding project details at companies like Ubisoft?
