Recently, I've begun replaying Assassin’s Creed 4 and am encountering severe performance dips. My system includes an RTX 2070, an i5-9600k processor, and 16GB of RAM – specifications that should comfortably handle the game. However, I consistently experience frame rate drops, plummeting from 60 fps to approximately 5 fps every few seconds, with one instance falling as low as 1 fps. Despite trying various troubleshooting steps, these disruptive lags persist, even within the game’s menu. Are there any solutions you can suggest to resolve this issue?
Disable PhysX and select the Low setting, or turn it off entirely—it has issues within that game.
