Status update from 17/10/2022. I placed an order for two identical memory kits, matching the same part numbers. The first kit arrived with the motherboard, while the second came yesterday. When I checked, both had the exact same part number and product, just different barcodes. So should they be identical? Not quite. The second 2x8 kits installed fine without issues and performed well at XMP profiles for 3800 and 4000. Upon closer look at the stickers on the RAM sticks, there’s a minor variation in font thickness—same part number and barcode, just a slightly different font style. It seems like a different revision of the same item. The first kit still isn’t working on that board, but the second is functioning perfectly. Both kits are compatible with different ASRock boards at once. I’ll share sticker photos later.
