The ASRock X570 Pro4 is currently available at the lowest price on PCPartPicker. VRMs are decent but the build feels basic. A B450 board would offer more features and better performance.

It looks like you're comparing this product to others, highlighting its strong VRMs and offering it at a budget-friendly price with Intel LAN support. The reviewer seems impressed by its essential features despite minimal frills.

No not really As @Mateyyy said If it's a good deal get it If it's cheap get it otherwise there isn't anything special about x570 Other than dmi 4 and sli support usually they might have extra pwm fan headers or 5v ARGB headers etc but something like a tomhawk max has them and does the job but if the x570 pro4 is a good deal Then it won't hurt getting it

It's roughly $70 higher than a B450 tomahawk. For reference, I could pay an additional $50 and get an Asus X570 P that seems to match the VRM of their premium boards. Would you think the extra $70 is justified? I'm planning to use a Ryzen 7 3700X.

It includes a 4-stage 8+2 phase power design. It's decent, but it varies based on the CPU you have. For an 8-core processor or fewer, go with the B450 Tomahawk Max. If you have 12 cores or more, consider X570 boards with a stronger VRM solution might be better.

I'm getting a Ryzen 7 3700x soon (got a good deal). Maybe the B450 tomahawk works. The upgrade potential of the x570 seems worth around $70, since the Ryzen 4000 line is likely finished for that model. Would PCIe Gen 4 help your GPU performance?

Generally, the Ryzen 4000 won't be the final lineup of CPUs featuring the PGA 1331 socket, with the X570 also limited to Zen 3. However, the B450 will still support Zen 3 via a beta BIOS. If you're patient and wait about eight days, the B550 will be released, offering Zen 3 support and DMI-CHS compatibility for certain tasks.

I’m probably going to skip the Ryzen 4000 and wait about two to three years before upgrading. That means I’ll just pick the cheaper B450, right? Whether I end up with an Intel or a new AMD board for my next upgrade is uncertain. I don’t think the B550 will arrive in Australia anytime soon (we haven’t got the 10th gen Intel yet), and I also doubt it’ll be that much cheaper. My current motherboard is the last thing I’ll replace before I start building, and I’m eager to get back into it during my uni holidays. Hope you can help with this!

Zen 4 seems unlikely to fit PGA1331. Probably yes. If you don’t want sli and DMI 4, it’s not useful right now. A Tomahawk Max would work well instead—it offers strong power delivery and should handle the 8-core setup easily.

It seems you're asking about DMI 4 and its meaning. Could you clarify if you meant something else by "dmi 4"? Let me know how I can help!
