Hi everyone, I'm looking for advice on whether I can set up G-Sync over TB3 with my current setup before buying a dock. I'm switching between a work PC and a gaming PC each weekend, which is getting tiring. My motherboard is an ASRock X570 Phantom Gaming-ITX/TB3 that supports DisplayPort for connecting external GPUs to Thunderbolt displays. I'm currently using three monitors—one Dell 144Hz G-Sync monitor and two AOC models for productivity. I want to connect all three to a dock so the Dell monitor stays synchronized with my PC. My goal is to keep G-Sync working across both setups. Do you have any experience with this configuration? Would it be possible for the dock to support three monitors, two TB3 ports, and at least two USB ports? I also saw a dock on Elgato’s site that seems to work for this purpose. Any tips or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
I can verify that GSync functions with Thunderbolt using a USB-C to DisplayPort cable. I managed to activate the full 1440p at 144Hz output on my monitor, which gives me confidence it could work through a dock with Thunderbolt daisy chaining. Any thoughts?
