ASRock promotes this port as featuring a dedicated USB interface for IO devices needing minimal delay. The marketing emphasizes low-latency performance, especially for peripherals like mice and keyboards. Claims about enhanced bandwidth using these ports are not supported in the advertising. It seems unlikely to gain much benefit compared to standard USB 3.1 ports, though you can verify this yourself with a disk benchmark test. This advice applies mainly to NVMe drives; traditional HDDs or SATA SSDs won’t reach the necessary speeds for such ports.
