I tested with any headphones and installed the newest drivers. After reinstalling Windows, nothing changed—only monitors still work. I think there might be a hardware issue, which is surprising since the device is only a few years old. I downloaded the audio driver from the manufacturer’s site, turned off Nvidia sound in Device Manager, but it didn’t help. I’ve tried various headphones so the problem stays with the headphones themselves.

Are you connecting through the front panel audio or the rear I/O audio? Whichever you choose, inspect the port using a flashlight—it might have dust or debris inside if you're using the front panel. Verify the motherboard connection as well.

I used both connectors, yet neither functions properly. The window displays activity when I connect it, but it doesn’t work at all. I inspected them, but they appear clean.

Both connectors failing simultaneously raises concerns—it might mean the audio chipset stopped working entirely. You could also be experiencing a failure if you don’t see any response from the system.

In short, many displays include a built-in audio port, allowing you to connect headphones directly.
